In anticipation of the World Meeting of Families (WMOF) next year, a group of students in Kildare created some festive Christmas decorations for their Church tree.
Students working towards their Pope John Paul II Award from St Mary’s College (Naas) and Newbridge College helped the Kill Parish Liturgy Group to replace baubles on the Church Christmas tree with messages on cards to Jesus from children in the local school.

The children met with the award leaders over several nights to cut out the shapes, punch holes, tie ribbons and pack them for the 23 classes in Scoil Bhríde, Kill. Jean Roche, a member of the liturgy group, said that the messages from the children were “so inspiring, funny, thoughtful and uplifting”.
